Hey team! In the blog this week I cover: gratitude, planks, delicious food and the many benefits of mini resistance bands. I cannot stress the importance of maintaining a healthy mindset, and in order to do that we have to incorporate some exercises into our daily activities to keep us focused on the good. Can’t wait for you guys to check out the two TIPS this week! Mini resistance bands – team, these are sure to amp up your workout. I included an article in Industry News that discusses how exactly mini resistance bands work, and why they make such a huge difference in your workout. Food this week: Tilapia with Avocado Salsa, Quinoa Salad & Bruschetta Chicken (they are legit, I promise). Last but NOT LEAST – CHALLENGE! I challenge you to PLANKS! Watch the video for details. Happy Father’s Day Team! I would like to wish all the boss Dads out there a very Happy Father’s Day.
Ahhh, let’s talk about the scale. One of the most dreaded enemies for people who are trying to get in shape. Team, listen to me when I tell you this – if you don’t have a healthy mindset when it comes to getting fit (we are getting rid of the term “losing weight”), then we need to start developing one. YOU GOT THIS! The Tip of the Week specifically talks about your scale, and why you need to get rid of it. In Industry News I included an awesome article on why this is so important - it is full of factual information regarding the misconceptions of weight loss. CHECK IT OUT! Need some help setting attainable fitness goals? I got you. In the Health & Wellness section I included an article that helps you set attainable fitness goals for the future. Challenge of the Week! Time to target those abs! We have yet to hit the abs on any of the challenges, so I am coming for you this week – and I fully expect you to update me with results.
Not sure if I have ever shared this, but I am a huge fan of the Mediterranean diet. For the Meal+Snack Ideas I picked a main course that falls into the Mediterranean category, along with two snacks (bruschetta & mushrooms, my two favorites). Team know that I always pick these recipes out with health, convenience, and time in mind. Let’s stay committed to ourselves, our body, and our minds and let's continue to use what is on this earth as fuel for our bodies.

SUMMER IS HERE! I know it looks a bit different with quarantine, but it still feels great to have warm weather and the sun on your face. As summer approaches, my clients are constantly asking me about ways to tone their arms - I challenge you this week to a quick workout you can do every day that will help with that (in addition to attending my classes of course). Ahh…the TIP this week! I am pretty pumped about this, team! I am not sure if any of you are familiar with the Wim Hof Method. My wife came across him a bit ago, and we both have been pretty impressed by the benefits of some of his methods - I cannot wait for you to check it out! As always, we have some delicious, easy and healthy meals for you - awesome summer salad included! We also have some amazing advice from top celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins.
