Challenge of the Month: Smoothie Fueled February

The Siwicki Fitness family is launching our February Challenge of the Month, and we have a very special guest joining - health coach Amanda Lauren!

What is February’s Challenge? Fuel up with a smoothie after your workouts. Tag Siwicki Fitness and Amanda Lauren in your Instagram or Facebook stories if you make the recipe’s provided (more on that below), that’s how we’ll be keeping score! Or, DM us a picture! For every post or DM, we will put your name in a drawing for the final prize. Each week, we’ll provide you a new smoothie recipe to make.

What’s the prize? One FREE month of Siwicki Fitness classes, for you or to gift a friend! Winner will be announced on March 1st.

Why? What you eat (or don't eat) for breakfast is extremely important for your health goals. Everyone knows that abs are just as much made in the kitchen as they are in the gym! Starting your day with an abundance of protein, some healthy fat and plenty of fiber will ensure you can build muscle and fuel your body while preventing the inevitable blood sugar rollercoaster you get from starting your day with carbs. That morning oatmeal is only causing your blood sugar to spike and then come crashing down, leading to hunger cravings and causing you to eat more than you need throughout the day. That is why our smoothies will not be packed with fruit and sugar like you would typically find at a store. Our smoothies contain the macros you need to feel full and satisfied, all while fueling your metabolism and supporting muscle mass and weight loss.

Get to know Amanda and watch her make the first smoothie recipe, the Chocolate Pudding Smoothie (YUM) below.

Ingredients for Chocolate Pudding Smoothie

  • 20-30 grams of chocolate protein

  • 1/2 avocado

  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach

  • 1/2 cup frozen kale

  • 1/4 cup frozen organic wild blueberries

  • 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed

  • 1 tbsp. cacao powder

  • Monk fruit to taste (optional for extra sweetness)
